Meet Lauren

Hi, I’m Lauren.

I’m a native Texan, accountant by education and experience, business and accounting educator, and founder of Yellow Rose Business Solutions.

I earned my BBA in Accounting from Texas Woman’s University and completed additional accounting coursework toward CPA educational requirements. After working in accounting for several years, my career eventually led me into the classroom, where I now teach business and accounting to the next generation of professionals and entrepreneurs.

Teaching changed the way I think about financial services.

Knowing how to work with numbers is important. Being able to explain those numbers so someone else can understand and use them is something different.

I’ve seen how quickly financial terminology can make people believe business finances are more complicated or intimidating than they need to be. I’ve also seen the confidence that comes when someone finally understands what the numbers in front of them actually mean.

That’s a big part of why I created Yellow Rose.

I want small-business owners to have a financial resource they can turn to not only to help keep their books organized, but also to ask questions, understand what’s happening in their business, and build stronger financial habits as they grow.
